The introduction of Google sheets has been a blessing for a lot of people as it has all your data from work to anything under the sun. This is a great place to store all the information and it makes it very convenient to handle and then actually make edits to it. This is a great convenience but a lot of people don’t know how to use it in the right manner. One such feature that people are not aware of is, check mark in google sheets.

We are going to share some of the methods by which you can easily get check mark in google sheets.

What Are The Different Ways?

The first one is – the ‘Google spreadsheet tick box’

This is one of the quickest ones and to insert a check mark in google sheets. This you can use doing the option from the menu of the sheet itself.

•         You have to select all the cells that you want to fill using the checkboxes.
•         Then just select insert and select the checkbox that is in the Sheets menu,
•         You will now see all the cells filled with checkboxes.

You can also select a single cell, do step 2 and then you can hover the mouse to the rest of the cells that you want and you will see that all of them are filled with the checkbox by simply holding and dragging it over all those that you want.

The second method is easy too which is why it can be easily followed.

•         Now, click some box, only once and then you will some sort of a tick there.
•         Now, click again and you will notice the box turn blank after you do it again.

You can also do another thing that you tick as many checkboxes as you want and you can do it by selecting all of them and then hitting the space button.  Now, there is also a possibility that you can re-colour the checkboxes and then select all the cells wherever they are and then click the text colour tool which is there on the Google sheet toolbar itself.

What Is The Other Method?

The next is data validation. Here you are very sure that only checkboxes and tick symbols only get included and nothing else becomes a part of it.  Therefore, data validation is actually helpful.

•         First, begin by selecting the column that you want to work on.
•         Then go there to the data column and select the data validation in the sheet menu.
• Search for the criteria line and then choose the option of check box from the list.
•         Then hit the save button and you will get it done.

There is a lot of ways in which you can check mark in google sheets. We have just mentioned the two most convenient ones and you can definitely try all the methods and see what fits best for you.
