London Airports: Arrivals and Departures

London Biggin Hill Airport

London Luton Airport

The fifth busiest airport in the UK is London Luton Airport (LTN). It is a significant hub for budget carriers and is situated 56 kilometers (35 miles) northwest of the heart of London.

London Southend Airport

Gatwick Airport


Gatwick Airport (LGW) is the second busiest airport in the UK, handling millions of passengers annually and servicing hundreds of destinations. It lies 45 kilometers (28 miles) south of London.

Gatwick Airport has two terminals, the North Terminal and the South Terminal, from which passengers may arrive and leave. Both provide a variety of stores, eateries, cafés, and assistance desks.

Check-in counters are located on the third level of both the North and South terminals. Before accessing the departure lounge, all travelers must pass through security screening.

Heathrow Airport

London Heathrow Airport (LHR), the busiest airport in the UK, is situated 32 kilometers (20 miles) west of the heart of London.


London Heathrow Airport is divided into four terminals (terminals 2, 3, 4, and 5), each of which has stores, dining options, places to exchange money, information desks, desks for booking accommodations, and places to store luggage.

On the first level of Terminal 2 and the ground floor of Terminals 3, 4, and 5, respectively, the Heathrow Airport Arrivals hall is located.
