The ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022, which will feature 16 teams from 16 October to 13 November, is fewer than 50 days away. The T20 World Cup took to the air today in Perth and Sydney as supporter’s countdown to "The Big Time," travelling from one side of the nation to the other.

Usman Khawaja, an Australian cricketer, was at Sydney Harbour in Sydney when the flags of all 16 competing teams were flown over the city and its internationally renowned attractions, the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge.

The ICC Men's T20 World Cup Trophy Tour made its way to Perth, Western Australia, with Shane Watson delivering the trophy to the city's supporters via helicopter from the famous tourist attraction, Rottnest Island. Fan groups from all six of the clubs that will play in the five matches in Perth marched to the stadium to get a live look at the coveted awards.

In Geelong, where the 2014 champions Sri Lanka and Namibia will play in the T20 World Cup's opening game on October 16, a countdown clock and painting were also presented. After the T20 World Cup is over, the mural, which was painted by a local Sri Lankan artist, will continue to be shown at Kardinia Park Stadium.

Additional standing room tickets for the eagerly anticipated India vs. Pakistan game at the MCG on Sunday, October 23, were already sold out earlier this week.
