The present age android application development market is booming. People these days prefer using Android over the most popular platforms such as iPhone or other smart phones. This preference has been due to Android’s ease of use and interactivity of apps. According to reports, it has been revealed that the modern Android application market is on its peak. Several Android developers are making it big in the field of creating high quality applications. Unfortunately, not all are the same. There are some new inexperienced android developers who make crucial errors while developing android applications which spoils all the fun.

Here is a list of some major mistakes that most novice android developers need to avoid while undertaking a few of their first android application development projects:

Poor Planning

Improper planning and development approach is one of the most common blunders Android developers tend to commit. Most new android coders often forget to assess the market trend in detail. They also fail to understand what users are looking for. This leads to poor response from target audience and present users. So make sure you try to research about and know requirements of your target audience!

Poor UI Design

Most new and inexperienced Android developers have a hard time handling this matter. In fact, they don’t realise that the UI design of app is inappropriate and poor! These developers tend to forget about the importance of user experience and significance of attractive UI design. Android application developer must understand that ignoring user experience will lead to problems. UI sahould be pleasant and enjoyable or else, they will lose potential clients and even fail to get success in the field of application development. Additionally, the android IU designs tend to vary from one device to another. Hence, one should focus on creating app UI that can smoothly run on any of the screen sizes.

Bad Compatibility

Novice and untrained developers tend to ignore poor compatibility with varied versions of Android OS. It is important to remember that many changes have been introduced in Android from its first version. Presently there are around eight different versions of android available these days. However, most developers tend to develop app that works with specific version of OS version. Now this is a huge error as users may hardly be able to stick to a specific version for a long time. Hence, it is always advisable to develop an app that functions really well with all of the OS versions.

Little Info on Configuration

Many developers provide inappropriate information on configuration. This inappropriate and incomplete info in androidmanifest.xml file results in complications and difficulties to re-use the platform. Additionally it is not possible to use its service again.

Too Many Features

Use of too many features and functionalities in Android app is not a good idea! Several novice programmers and developers believe in integrating huge number of features and functionalities they are aware of in a single application. This can make the app complex and even cuts down on its usability. Hence, it is important to always try and highlight only requisite features and functionalities. Including what is necessary in the app will give you better results.

Not Considering Battery Life

Many developers ignore considering battery life. They also forget to give emphasis to memory management. These errors and negligence adds to poor app performance. Hence, it is important that you avoid such serious mistakes.
