The structural characteristics of manholes, inspection doors, valves, etc. are the cover plate plus sealing soft material supplemented by mechanical compression, and the mechanical compression force often only acts on the cover plate. partially, if it is too large, it will easily cause local deformation of the cover plate, forming a larger air leakage gap, and if it is too small, it is not enough for the soft material to fill the gap.

Therefore, from a microscopic point of view, there is a certain gap between the two contact surfaces of the sealing cover and the body. if there is no soft material in between, the size of the gap is fixed, and the pressing force applied to the plate has little effect on the air tightness.
