Introduction

The B.Tech course is the most common course offered by the BMSIT. It mainly covers subjects like computer applications, electronics & telecommunication engineering, and mechanical department. The M. Tech program has more specializations in its curriculum like electrical and electronics engineering and instrumentation technology among others. In contrast, the MCA degree focuses on management studies as well as information technology management courses. All these courses have similar eligibility criteria for admission with some slight differences between them which will be discussed below:

Eligibility Criteria M. Tech

  • B.Tech with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade

  • MCA with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade

Eligibility Criteria MCA

  • Achieve minimum grades in 10th and 12th standard (or equivalent). For example, if you failed to pass the 10th and 12th exams, then the minimum grade requirement is 52%. The same applies if you failed to clear your graduation exam.

  • Obtain a certificate from a board certifying body that it has accepted your result as final and authentic.

Fee structure of BMSIT

  • Admission Fee Rs. 2,50,000/- (Non-refundable)

  • Hostel and Meal Charge Rs. 15,000/- per annum (Non-refundable) for all students of BMSIT for both MCA and M. Tech in respective branches in Kolkata city only. For other departments in India/Nepal/Pakistan etc., it will be subject to the availability of hostel facility thereon and the students will have to bear their expenses towards meal charges during their stay thereon except those covered by Government or private universities. (If no hostel facility is available then they can get admission without this provision).
