Specifications of Carbon Steel En 10217 Pipe

Posted by Steel Guru on September 29th, 2022

The Carbon Steel EN 10217 Pipe is a grade that adheres to European specifications and has a tensile strength ranging from 470 to 670 mpa. The minimum yield strength of these pipes is 180 mpa. They are easily extended in the system by 40%. The German grade, DIN EN 10217 Pipe, is comparable to the European grade in terms of strength and pressure-holding capacity. To provide these pipes with a greater surface finish and tolerance, they can be annealed or polished. The price of pipes of this grade manufactured outside of India is higher than that of pipes manufactured there. The prices of the products made in India are extremely low and within reach due to the profusion of high-quality raw materials and the top-notch labor that is readily available at low rates. The chemical components of the EN 10217 Pipe include carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, and molybdenum. The EN 10217 Welded Pipe has remarkable corrosion and oxidation resistance qualities due to the superb content contained in it. These sorts of welded pipes are created by joining together parts of sheets or strips. The EN 10217 Pipe is made of wrought materials and used in high-temperature settings. The adaptable pipes are suitable under normal circumstances. The EN 10217 Tubes may be longitudinally or spirally welded. Custom-designed tubes are available to fulfill a variety of needs.

EN 10217 Pipe Specification:

Types

ERW (Electric Resistance Welded Pipes)

Standard

EN10217

Outer Diameter

1-24 inches( 33.4—609.6mm)

Length

Min 3 Meters, Max18 Meters, or according to the customer’s requirement.

Size

NPS 1 TO NPS 24 [DN25 to DN 600], with nominal (average) wall thickness as given in ASME B 36.10M or as per the customer’s requirement.

Thickness

3-12mm

The diameter of the  Welded Carbon Steel En 10217 Pipe is smaller than that of the pipes. The tubes are used for modest quantities of fluid flow. Due to their superior dimensional accuracy, Inox En 10217 Seamless Pipes are employed in precise applications. The Din En Iso 10217 Pipes have minimum yield strength of 235MPa and a minimum tensile strength of up to 730MPa. Where square and hydraulic pipes are available, En 10217 round pipes are the most widely utilized form of pipe.

Heat treatment is not needed to harden the Bs En 10217 Hot Rolled Pipes. The En 10217 Tc1 Tubes can be welded without the need for preheating or post-weld heat treatment. A non-steel alloy called En 10217 Pipe is designed for pressure applications. Different components of the same En 10217-1 Pipe standard have various diameters and various mechanical and physical characteristics. The efw pipes' Din En 10217-7 pipe sizes range from 5mm to 1219.2mm. Scheduling options include sch5 through XXS and heavier. Electric resistance welding is used to create En 10217 Welded Pipe. The length of the pipe can range from single random, double random, to sizes that are custom cut.
