Posted by Andrew Alexander on June 13th, 2016

Hoverboard is also known as a self-balancing scooter that is levitating platform and is used for personal transportation. Some people call it swegways too. This scooter with two wheels is in trend currently. Even though self-balancing scooters do not actually hover, the term hoverboard has been adopted by people in a casual way.

Construction and design :
The design of the Hoverboard depends on the two main parts i.e. the board and the wheel. The board is formed of two pieces and each piece has wheel on one side that is connected by a hinge in the center that allows them to rotate independently. Thus the user must keep this in mind and place his/her feet only on the pressure sensitive pads while moving around. Lean to forward side if you wish to move forward and go backward if you wish to go on the back side. Similarly, for changing the direction, you must push one foot forward than the other. Just like other modes of transportation,

Extra features :
To make their brand more popular among other certain manufacturers of hoverboards have added various features in their scooter such as GPS, remote to turn on and turn off the scooter. So look for scooters with these features if you want a cool mode of transport to move around.

Where can you ride it?
This depends on where you live. The rules differ from place to place and before you get one ensure that you are aware about the rules related to it. In UK, one cannot ride these scooters on sidewalks or roads, so make sure you get a hoverboard that works well on the indoors and in the driveway. Avoid investing in scooters for outdoors.

Where can you buy them?
The best option is to visit the manufacturer’s website and get the best hoverboard that suits your needs. There are several retail stores too that sell cheap swegway, however some of them are cheap in quality too. So avoid going for a scooter that is very cheap as it may not last for a long time and it would be waste of investing in such a scooter. Online portals are one of the best places to buy a hoverboard as there are plethoras of options available.

Once you decide where you want to buy it from, the next step would be to pick a few hoverboards and compare them. The comparison will help you decide which board is the best for you and which board you must avoid buying. Even though all hoverboards look alike, it doesn’t mean they all have the same features. Hoverboards may be totally different when it comes to the components that are not physical.

Some features that you must look for are :
- Samsung or LG battery's only
- Weight of the glider
- Safety warning features for high speed
- Check about the return policy
- Know the wattage of the motor
- Check the wheel size
- Consider the availability of replacement parts

So consider these tips and get a cool hoverboard that suits your needs!
