Storage of seamless steel pipes

In fact, seamless steel pipes are essential in many lives today. One of the most remarkable features of seamless steel pipe is that it does not require any cutting and welding during the production process. Only in this way can it be guaranteed that these gas leaks will not occur when transporting gases and liquids, so it is dangerous to transport with this seamless steel pipe if welded or cut.

However, everything needs to be maintained for a long time, just like refrigerators, TVs, and microwave ovens at home. In fact, these electrical appliances are maintained for a long time. In fact, not only household appliances, seamless carbon steel pipes also need maintenance, especially steel, which is more prone to rust, resulting in the use of seamless steel pipes not as effective as before, so no matter what long-term use, there will be an aging state, so seamless steel pipes are also need maintenance.

In fact, in order to prevent the seamless steel pipe from rusting, it is first necessary to ensure that the surface of the seamless steel pipe and the environment are clean, otherwise it is easy to be corroded and chemical reactions occur. When removing rust, we can also use pickling to remove rust. Typically, many workers use chemicals and electrolysis to remove rust. However, if a chemical reaction is used to remove rust, workers should wear protective equipment before cleaning to prevent the body from being affected by chemical elements. However, in many places, it is not recommended to use chemical acid to clean seamless steel pipes, because although chemical acid pickling has a good rust removal effect, chemical acid will also affect the environment and even soil quality.

1) The site or warehouse where steel is stored should be clean and drained away from factories and mines that produce harmful gases or dust. Remove weeds and all debris from the site to keep the steel clean;

2) Do not stack acid, alkali, salt, cement and other items that are corrosive to steel in the warehouse. Different types of steel should be stacked separately to prevent confusion and contact corrosion;

3) Large-scale steel, rails, insulating steel plates, large-diameter steel pipes, forgings, etc. can be stacked in the open air;

4) Small and medium-sized steel, wire rod, steel bar, medium-diameter steel pipe, steel wire and wire rope, etc., can be stored in a well-ventilated shed, but must be placed on the bottom;

5) Some small steel, thin steel, steel, silicon steel, small diameter or thin-walled steel pipe, various cold-rolled, cold-drawn steel, high-priced, corrosive metal products can be stored;

6) Warehouses should be selected according to geographical conditions. Generally, ordinary closed warehouses are used, that is, warehouses with walls, tight doors and windows, and ventilation devices.
