Packaging of steel pipes

The packaging requirements for steel pipes are roughly divided into two categories: one is ordinary large bags, and the other is container loading similar to totes.

To avoid pipeline damage during baling and transportation, the baling signs should be uniform.

The same bundle of seamless steel pipes should be of the same heat number (batch), the same steel grade, and the same specification.

The weight of each tube bundle should not exceed 50 kg. Increase the weight of the bag with the consent of the user, but the most important thing cannot exceed 80kg.

The tube bundle should be aligned at one end relative to the blunt end, the side of the tube end should be aligned less than 20mm, and the length difference of each bundle of steel tubes is less than 10mm, but according to the length of the tube, the length difference of each bundle of tubes is usually less than 5mm, and the longest tube bundle and the length do not exceed 10mm.

Cold-rolled or cold-drawn seamless steel pipes, hot-rolled seamless carbon steel pipes with surface finish, can be packaged in containers such as plastic containers and wooden boxes.

The weight of the container is packaged according to Table 1, and the maximum weight of each container can be increased through negotiation between the two parties.

When the tube is put into the container, the inner wall of the container should be filled with cardboard, plastic sheeting or other moisture-proof material. Containers should not be leaking tightly.

For steel containers and packaging, there should be a label in the container. The outer end of the container should also be attached to the label.

Steel has special packaging requirements, which are negotiated by both parties.
