sbcglobal pop3 settings for outlook 2007

Sbcglobal is an emailing service from AT&T.  This email id is provided to the customers of AT&T so that they can easily communicate with the executives. Customers can place online orders, any query or can make their payments through this Scglobal email id. Only AT&T customers have this email id. User can also send and receive emails to other contact persons.  This email account is coordinated with Yahoo because of the collaborationof AT&T and Yahoo. Sbcglobal account can easily be accessible from Outlook. User just  need to configure his Sbcglobal account with Outlook. This may require few server settings. Below shown are the steps for Sbcglobal pop settings with Outlook 2007.

  1. Open the Outlook 2007 application.
  2. Click on the File menu.
  3. Click on Accounts and then click on Add Email Account. Check the check box of “configure the account manually. “.
  4. Now, enter the type of the account as POP.
  5. Enter the username and password of Sbcglobal account.
  6. Enter the incoming email server as pop.att.yahoo.com.
  7. Enter the outgoing email server as smtp.att.yahoo.com.
  8. Click on advanced settings an enter the port numbers for incoming and outgoing servers.
  9. Click on more settings and check the check box for "authentication required ".
  10. Click "finish  "all the settings done.
  11. Test the settings. Now user can access Sbcglobal account from Outlook 2007.
