How Age Plays a Role in Canada Express Entry Application?

Posted by Nationwide Immigration Services on November 14th, 2022

Canada’s popularity among immigrants is evergreen for the past decade. This fame is increasing with each passing year, all thanks to this nation’s beneficial immigration programs. Canada Express Entry inquiries and searches are always at their peak. However, people who are no longer in their twenties feel they face some serious age disadvantage in Canada's PR process. The Canadian government intends to attract young workers to fulfill the roles open in their job markets. Do not fret if you are more than thirty or in your forties, as age has a role but is not the only determining factor in Canada Express Entry.

You need to check your eligibility for Canada PR via the CRS score, which stands for Comprehensive Ranking System. Canada Express Entry has three major pathways under it, namely Federal Skilled Trades, Canadian Experience Class, and Federal Skilled Worker. Depending upon your profile, you can pick a suitable pathway and then concentrate on taking your CRS score to the maximum. Every applicant requires at least 67 points under this system. You can increase your CRS score by learning French, scoring more on English proficiency tests, or adding your spouse's skills (if married). Getting a job offer or state nomination are other options to enhance your chances of getting eligible for Canada PR, which you can discuss with Nationwide Immigration Services’ experts.

How to Apply for Canada Express Entry?

  1. Begin by getting your ECA i.e., Educational Credentials Assessment done. This will be evidence that you have completed your claimed education in another country than Canada. You need to give ECA to allow the Canadian education system to recognize your degree or diploma.
  2. Language skills are quite important in the process of Canada Express Entry. You need to score as per the eligibility criteria set by the IRCC. You can either go for the English language proficiency test- IELTS or the French ability test- TEF.
  3. Once you are done with the test, just create a Canada Express Entry profile. Make sure to put all the details as per your document and do not give any false information. This profile will further calculate your CRS score and you can check your eligibility for Canada PR.
  4. Qualified profiles will be added to the Canada Express Entry pool, and you will receive an ITA i.e., Invitation to Apply if your profile will be selected by IRCC. This is when your real documentation process for Canada PR will initiate, and you will be on your way to becoming eligible to work and live in Canada.
