Industrial applications can greatly benefit from sensors because they can identify the health of the machinery. The engineer can use this tool to determine when the machinery requires maintenance. There are some factors that should be taken into account before purchasing this equipment, though.

In a nutshell, factors to be taken into account are the vibration sensor level, the required frequency range, and the required temperature range. Additionally, it would be wise for you to take into account the sensor's size and weight as well as the presence of corrosive chemicals, flammable air, electromagnetic fields, and intense acoustics. There are certain other crucial factors you must take into account, though.

There are also some additional factors to take into account, such as the instruments that will be used as well as the required power supply, cable length, temperature, and power supply requirements. A splash-proof connector is also necessary for some sensors. It will therefore be wiser to decide in advance whether you require a sensor with splash-proof connectors or not.
