How to Draw A Cartoon Steak

Step 1

This first step of this cartoon steak drawing will be pretty easy! For this first step, we'll sketch this steak. Steaks come in many different figures and techniques, but this one will observe a fairly standard steak shape.

This means it will have a rounded, vaguely ovoid shape. Although it can be slightly egg-shaped, it is rounder and more curved than a real egg. Once this pattern is complete, we can move on to the next step of the tutorial and add finer details to this fun steak design.

Step 2

At the beginning of this tutorial on drawing a cartoon steak, we mentioned that this steak is unlike any steak you've ever seen! In this second step of the guide, you'll find out why we're adding a smiley face to this steak!

They will be slightly different sizes, adding to the design's cartoonish look. Then everyone has a smaller oval inside for the pupils.

We will then draw a slightly curved eyebrow on each of them. You can end up with a big smiling mouth with some teeth and details on the tongue.

Step 3

Now we're going to draw some details on the inside edge of this steak. These details show the separation between the meat and the outer layer of fat. Draw a few rounded lines around the inside perimeter of the topping, then draw a few thin, pointed sections into the steak.

Step 4

You can add some limbs to this character in the fourth step of your cartoon steak drawing. This will further set this steak apart from any steak you've seen in real life!

These stems are drawn in an excessive cartoon style. This means the limbs are skinny, with exaggeratedly large hands and feet. The reference image shows that the left arm is extended outward while the right arm is bent to the side.

Finally, the legs are quite short, and each point outwards. Once those limbs are added, the next step is to start adding the final details of this design!

Step 5

It's almost time for the final step of this how-to on drawing a cartoon steak, but first, we need to add a few minor details. These details could be smaller, but they will make it look better! You also have the option to add some personal information.

Let's add those more minor details first. We added some thin lines to the arms and legs, which helped preserve some shading detail. Then you can add all your extra details!

It might be fun to draw a background for this character, which would open up many possibilities. If you like steak in real life, you could create more characters based on the side dishes you would have with steak.

Step 6

Now it's time to end this photo with some color! In our reference image, we colored this image light pink for the meat and then used a very light beige for the fat layer. You could also choose these colors, but there are other ways to color them.

The color of the steak will change depending on the cooking time, so you can dye this steak to show how you like your steak. It would mean going with darker and darker shades of brown and pink, depending on how much you like them.
