How to prevent warping at the end of thick-walled welded steel pipe?

The precision of the thick-walled welded steel tube is relatively high, and it is also a pipe fitting that has been cold-drawn or hot-rolled according to the requirements. It is a welded pipe with a relatively complicated production process. In the process of using thick-walled welded steel pipes, some problems will inevitably arise, so how should we solve these problems?

When the thick-walled welded steel pipe is grinding and polishing the surface weld of the embedded section, the welding misalignment of the pipe end is not sharpened or the sharpening is uneven, and the high-precision steel pipe manufacturer will cause the anti-rust coating at the bottom of the welding part to be worn away. When thick-walled welded steel pipes are piled up outside for a long time, the metal material on the welded surface will be corroded first, which will cause warping of thick-walled welded steel pipes.

Method to prevent edge warping at the end of thick-walled welded steel pipe

1) Without affecting the welding of branch pipes, increase the pre-embedded length of the anti-rust coating on the top of the surface as much as possible, which can prevent the 3pE anti-corrosion warping caused by the serious electrochemical corrosion at the pipe end due to the long accumulation time of welded steel pipes;

2) When the thick-walled welded steel pipes are piled up outside for a long time, the pipe ends should be covered to avoid precipitation corrosion, which will lead to serious corrosion of the pipe ends;

3) If the construction period of the pipeline on-site project is long, you can brush the weldable anti-corrosion paint on the exposed metal material at the pipe end to avoid warping of the thick-walled welded steel pipe due to corrosion during the storage period;

4) Strictly control the sharpening quality of the welding misalignment at the embedded part of the pipe end. In the same way as other parts of the pipe body outside the weld on the surface of the weld, brushing the anti-rust paint will prolong the storage time, so as to avoid the bottom of the anti-rust paint at the weld being corroded first and causing the thick-walled welded steel pipe to warp.
