You must understand that the pet animal will not be able to speak or complain if they are not well or suffering in pain. It’s really hard to determine if the pet is having a loss of appetite, a limb injury, or suffering from some serious illness that needs a medication veteran doctor. You must be thinking about how to know when to reach out for medical help or seek emergency care. We have discussed some signs of warning that your pet gives, showing that you can get help from the Oxford Animal Clinic.

Warning Signs and Indications Your Pet gives, that you must Never Ignore

So, here in this article, we have discussed some signs and symptoms you’re pet whether a dog or a cat or any other pet in general gives, that you must never ignore.

1) Change in Eating Habits

We, humans, are prone to doing daily routine stuff like breakfast, lunch, bathing, and sleeping in routine, and so does our pet. After you spend some time with your pet, you know minute details like your dislike of your pet, what he eats, how is his behavior, and so on. So the point is no one better than the pet caretaker can know about the pet.

But usually, your pet dogs can skip one meal, which is normal. But if the dog skips more than two complete day meals, then it is an indication that you take your pet to a veterinarian. Also if your pet shows aggressive behavior, unusually feels hungry, begs for food excessively, attempts to eat anything and everything or grab it with their paws, or the pet is not able to control his behavior, it may mean that there is something your pet is worried or not feeling better from inside. At such a moment you must contact a Oxford Animal Care and get the checkup done.

2) Excessive Thirst

On a hot summer day or during excessive activities like playing in the park or running with a kid, your pet may drink more water than usual, but that is normal. Or it may be a sign of some infection in the liver or kidney or even diabetes. You should contact a vet if you are filling their water bowl more than usual.

3) Change in Eye Appearance

If you find your pet’s eyes dry or red, cloudy, or even more watery, then it could be a sign of an eye infection in the pet’s eyes. Also if your dog is squinting or pawing, at his or her eyes, it could be that they are having some trouble in their eyes, which may need a checkup, before it gets worse. Always remember never to take your pet’s eye problem lightly, because it could turn into a big issue quite early. Also if the eyes are infected, it may be due to some internal or external injury.

4) Vomiting

Sometimes it happens, pets u often chew or swallow the particles from the surrounding for fun. But these substances may be hard to digest, and hence your pet may vomit, due to discomfort in their throats, and teeth. Even we as humans, vomit when we have a headache or eat something heavy. But the concern is when to call a vet in such a situation.

So, if they vomit only once, it could not be due to serious issues. But if they are frequently vomiting, or vomit blood, then you should take your pet quickly for a check-up.

5) Change in Stool

The stool of a healthy and fit pet will be firm and moist. But if your pet has dry, hard stools or difficulty in peeing, then there must be some stomach-related problems like dehydration, dietary problems, or sign of any other illness like ulcers. Other signs to be concerned about include, worms or blood in stool, mucus present in stool or diarrhea for more than 2 days, or straining of your pet due to bowels. Then you must take your pet to a Veterinarian immediately.

6) Lethargy and Sudden Weight loss

If you’re pet feels more tired and sluggish than the normal routine it could be a sign of somebody’s weakness or any disease, which may need a checkup. Also, you must do a regular weight check-up of your pet so that you know everything is going normally.
