The Appropriate Layout of Your Rugs

Need more rugs in your life? That is fantastic news because we are as well! But where does one put that rug? The placement of an area rug can be difficult. These tips will assist you in deciding where to place a fur rug (שטיח פרווה) in the bedroom, living room design, or dining room.

A piece of furniture that is too big for the rug will make the room look unbalanced, so it is important to measure your space before purchasing a rug. Allow at least 20 to 30 cm between the rug and the walls to show off your floors. Don't be afraid to experiment with colour and pattern (our rug collection has you covered there!).

Here are some tips to ensure proper rug placement. But before we get into the placement, let's go over the importance of selecting the right rug material. And how do you pick the best rug material for your home?

The material of the bedroom rug (שטיח לחדר שינה) is also important in terms of size. Here, the differences between some of the most well-liked materials available right now are contrasted.

Wool Rug
Wool fabrics are warm and cosy, making them an excellent choice for high-traffic areas or spaces frequented by children.

Cotton Rug
Cotton rugs, which are typically inexpensive, can work well in rooms where rugs are changed frequently, such as the bathroom or the den.

Synthetic Rug
Because synthetic rugs are typically made to last, to be stain-resistant, to be colorfast, and to be reasonably priced, the look of each space can be changed more frequently.

Aside from rug material, there are numerous other factors that influence the purchase of a suitable carpet for your interior. However, once the carpet has been purchased, it is critical to ensure that the rug placement is perfect. So here is how you can make sure that the rug placement is perfect:

Makeover Your living room design
In a large room with a floating lounge area, the rug should cover all furniture, including the front and back legs, while leaving space all around.

If your sofa is against a wall, make sure the front legs of all furnishings are at least on the rug.

Avoid a rug that only fits under the coffee table and is too small. When you sit at the table, your feet should always be on the rug.

Dining Room
Do choose a rug that has enough space to accommodate your table and chairs, even when they are removed from the table. It needs at least 24 inches of extra space on all sides.

The same rules apply for a round table. The Carpet for the room (שטיח לחדר) whether circular or rectangular in shape, should extend far beyond the dining chairs.

To cover the table and chairs, don't avoid using a rug that is too small.

Your guests may accidentally trip over a round rug as they try to pull out chairs.

Bedroom
Do choose a rug that will fit the bed in a room with plenty of space, as well as extra room for working on either side of the bed and at the end. Ideally, all furniture should be placed over the rug.

Another clever solution is to place two small rugs on either side of the bed. This is especially helpful if one side of your bed does not have a nightstand but rather a dresser or desk.

A runner for the side of the bed is an excellent choice for a bedroom with a bed in the corner or two twin beds.

It is not a good idea to put a secondary, smaller rug at the foot of the bed. It's extremely disproportionate and has the appearance of a postage stamp. You want comfort beneath your feet when you get out of bed.
