Our longstanding reputation as an online store for all manner of wide-format printing solutions is based in large part on our commitment to providing the most versatile products to suit a broad range of needs and circumstances – and this is certainly something that can be said of our latest Matt WaterfastPolyprop media.

What do you need to know about this large-format media?

With the lovely autumnal British weather having at last hit us, we thought it would be an apposite moment to draw attention to this specialised media for outdoor posters and banners, as we make available under our own Prizma Graphics brand.

When you are looking to print out banners and posters for use in external environments, you will doubtless want to be sure they stand up to even the harshest elements.

Sure enough, this Prizma Graphics poster paper – available under the CJTB product code – is poster paper that has been specifically designed to last for as long as six months without the need for lamination, thereby making it a natural choice for outdoor displays.

If you were to depend on using conventional aqueous inkjet paper for your outdoor prints and displays, this would need to be laminated in readiness for its use in the open air. This media has been tested to ensure it outperforms conventional inkjet paper as far as water, ultraviolet (UV), gas, and weather resistance are concerned.

High-specification outdoor media that offers many advantages

Our Prizma-branded Matt WaterfastPolyprop media is 190 micron thick, and is supplied in rolls ranging from 24” 610mm to 1524mm 60” on a 2” core.

This media is scratch-resistant, dries instantly, and is waterfast with pigment inks – all benefits that will be appreciated by those choosing it to ensure the production of high-quality and better-looking outdoor print displays. The lack of need for lamination allows users to reduce labour and cost, and nor does the media stretch like vinyl does.

But the headline advantage, of course, is the outdoor lifespan of up to six months. The exact longevity will depend on the climate and conditions in which the banner or poster is displayed, as well as the method of display.

All in all, if you had given up on the in-house production of your own banners and posters for outdoor use, this paper will help make it easier again – the only other elements you will require will be a large-format printer and pigment-based ink.

Do you have any questions about our highly rated outdoor-ready media, or in relation to any of our other acclaimed wide-format printing solutions? If so, our team at Prizma Graphicswould be pleased to help ensure you select the right product for even your most demanding requirements.
