The International Chess Federation (FIDE) was the first global sports organization to develop its own NFT marketplace. On 4th November 2022, the Federation declared the launch of ChessNFT.com in collaboration with TON Labs, the key creators of the FreeTON Network. ChessNFT.com will be a brand-new, all-encompassing chess NFT ecosystem. With its headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland, FIDE is the governing organization of chess and regulates all international chess events. FIDE was created in 1924.
