Off-Road Vehicles Market Witness Launch of Electric Off-Road Motorcycles and Hybrid Variants

Off-road vehicles market in the recent past has focused on offering off-road vehicles that are actually smaller, more lightweight, and highly maneuverable. In January 2018, Land Rover, owned by multinational car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover, launched a limited-edition high-performance version of Defender, with up to 150 V8-powered examples. There are now backhoes, bulldozers, tractors, and even smaller lawn mowers that can perform basic jobs such as yard maintenance. Several types of motorsports involve racing off-road vehicles. The list goes on.

Tires are especially important for off-road vehicles, since these machines are often used to cross hazardous terrain. There are differentials that are commonly used on tires, which allow the machine to have traction in different types of terrain. The differentials are adjusted depending on what the terrain is, and when the tires are new, they are set at zero degrees, so they are perfect for even terrain. Over time, as the tires are worn, they need to be changed, and for that reason, they must be properly fitted to the terrain. These differentials are called locking differentials.
