Top 5 Homebrew Games for PSPPosted by Branin on August 11th, 2010 Finding Decent Homebrew Games for the PSP Can Sometimes Be a Pain, Here Are a Few I Can Recommend, Finding decent Homebrew applications for the PSP can sometimes be a pain, in this article I will talk about five different games in which I think are worthy of being named here. Homebrew applications are programs that run on our PSPs developed by third party developers, these developers take their time to write these programs and games simply for our enjoyment and there is usually no profit in it for them at all, if you are interested in trying out some of these applications read on, or click the titles to download the games. Super Mini Mario V3: This Game gives you all of the same great features as the popular title "Mario", everyone knows who Mario is! Now you can play your favorite types of Mario levels without having to go out and buy a copy, the thing I find interesting about this game is the fact that it allows you to create your own modded maps along with playing the levels that already come programed here, this mod has really came a long way since it was first released, this was built from the ground up, very impressive and a must have homebrew game especially for Mario lovers! PSP Revolution v0.3: If you have ever played Dance Dance Revolution you will already know exactly what this is, you press directional keys on your PSP in order to groove along to a various track played within the game, this can be really fun and addicting if you have never played anything like this before, and quite easy for those of us who have. Overall this is one of my favorite homebrew games though, also a must have! Super Smash Bros. PSP: If you have ever played Super Smash Brothers on any Nintendo game system such as the Nintendo 64, or the Wii, you will know exactly how much fun this type of game can be. The thing I love about this game is that it is very advanced for a homebrew app, it allows you to create or download your custom sprites for use as characters in the game, also you can find custom map packs and add in on the fun, this can be a really awesome game if you put the time in to add these enhancements, it can be even better than the actual game! Callisto v0.2: Another great homebrew app built from the ground up, this game can occupy hours of your time and still leave you thriving for more, it is a side scrolling space shooter built to look like the old arcade type games however you can still feel a modern touch. I think this Game is built very well, it is also fun to compete for the online highscores if you are good! PSP Quake: This port can be very fun if you are use to this type of game, it is a first person shooter built exactly like Quake for the Nintendo 64, at times it can be a little jumpy however the actual gameplay can be fun, there are multiple types of enemies and play on online servers to compete with friends or other players.
