Blizzard's way of speccing your character's spec in D2R Items is a blend of the studio's approach to Diablo 2 and Diablo 3. The executive producer and head of the Diablo franchise Rod Fergusson put it, "Diablo 2 felt like you were locking in. You could respec one time per difficulty. "We've focused on approaching the system in a manner which makes you feel that making a choice is critical as does your character. different from every other person's, and that you have a lot of room to play out.
