However, he hurt himself in the attempt, and he didn't perform again until the A-side match versus Worcester on April 9. Evans was chosen for the 2017 World Rugby Under 20 Tournament England U20s team. Evans and Harlequins later won the Gallagher Premiership in 2021. He was one of the elite players despite missing the season's final weeks due to injuries.
