Go Ahead, Give Your Bride Wedding Gifts

Who says that the wedding gifts you receive on your special day must only come from your family and friends? You can and should give your blushing bride even just one memorable wedding gift - or perhaps, a few if and when you have the money for it after your expenses for the big day. You will not only mark a momentous event in your life but, more importantly, you will make your bride happier – truly, more reason for her to love you more and look more radiant as she walks down the aisle.

Deciding What to Give Her

You can give your soon-to-be-wife many kinds of things, such as a dragonfly brooch to add to her collection or personalised baby gifts for your future baby. You should have an easy time choosing the best bridal gifts for her considering that you already know her likes and dislikes including her hobbies, preferences, and collections.

You may, nonetheless, have difficulty because of the added pressure to make your gift more memorable by virtue of the occasion. You can keep these tips in mind to make the process easier:

•   Just ask her what she wants. Your bride will likely want to know the type of jewellery that you plan on buying for her so that it will blend well into her wedding finery. You don’t want to buy a piece of jewellery for her wedding day only to find that she will not wear it because it clashes with her gown’s look.

•   Ask her friends, if you want to make it a surprise. You can ask her maid of honor and bridesmaids since they already have inside knowledge about the wedding gown, shoes, and jewellery that your bride will be wearing on your wedding day. Plus, they are likely to be more experienced about matters related to women’s jewellery in general and your bride’s preferences in it in particular.

Just as you put effort into choosing the engagement ring, you should also put in the time in choosing your gift on your wedding day!

Giving It to Her

Aside from the actual gift, you should also be mindful about the gift wrapping. Your bride will love the small details as much as the gift itself, perhaps even keep the box and its paper for sentimental reasons. If possible, get a special bag aside from the box that the jewellery retailer provided for the brooch, for example.

You can give your wedding day gift before or after the wedding ceremony depending on the purpose of your gift.
