The kind of Nursery Daventry parents wish they had attended.

We all wish we had the chance to attend a pre-school that takes so much care and gives so much attention to every detail of early childhood development as does the Dolphin Day Nursery Daventry. This is the kind of Nursery Daventry parents wish their parents could have sent them to.

In the heart of Northamptonshire is a nursery that has been providing quality pre-schooling to young children for 10 years now. It caters for children from 3 months to 5 years, abiding by the Early Years Foundation Stage framework which encourages children to play, socialize and learn at every opportunity.

Imagine being a child again, and having a sensory garden, a vegetable patch, a digging area, a Bob the Builder construction zone, tunnels, balance beams… The opportunities for fun and learning seem endless. If that is not enough to make you wish you were that age again, wait until you hear about the range of toys: bikes, slides, cars, balls, hoops, beanbags, even a rocking horse to delight. Then, of course, there is also the ball pit. Really, can you imagine anything you would rather be doing more at that age?

The best news is that this constitutes not only learning, but healthy, balanced learning. All the while though, the staff at Nursery Daventry observe, monitor and capture feedback from parents about each child’s development. The façade of fun belies the serious stuff of early childhood development going on beyond each child’s wildest imagination. Imagine that your parents could have received an email showing a photo of you as you achieved some new fantastic feat, like overcoming the balance beam. What about a video of you learning to ride a bike? Can you imagine them getting a voice recording of your learning to express new concepts with newly acquired words? Our minds could not have dreamt up so futuristic a world in which our parents could get such instant updates during their working day of their little Johnny in so vivid and immediate and media rich a way.

Day Nursery Daventry engages with parents to a new level with their online and mobile application, Eylog, but they still encourage good old fashioned parent’s evenings. They also encourage the more informal “drop-in” where a parent simply pops in to observe their child’s development in practice. This level of involvement by parents is not seen as an inconvenience, but indeed necessary to the process of holistic development. Ongoing monitoring and feedback is informed as much by what parents are able to tell educators, as the other way around. Learning how each child responds to what they have been exposed to at the nursery once they get home is as important as what is observed and captured at school.

This is a far cry from the pre-school of earlier years where children were basically warehoused in those inconvenient years between birth of the grammar school. Preschool is no longer just an expensive babysitter.

Parents need to ensure that their child grows with healthy nutrition, and for that modern kids are sent to Nursery Daventry. Day Nursery Daventry is intended to give proper nutritional nourishment to kids.
