In India, there are many celebrated writers for all genres including romance, thrill, comedy, science, fiction, non-fiction stories and so on. They make their readers impatient for the arrival of their new book or book series. Some of the well-known names we would like to name include Amish Tripathi (author of the Shiva Trilogy), Ajay. K Pandey, Aravind Adiga, Chetan Bhagat, Preeti Shenoy, Vikram Seth, Ruskin Bond, Jhumpa Lahiri, Amitav Ghosh, Arundhati Roy, late Khushwant Singh and late R.K. Narayan. Now with these popular names, it generates a question that whether writing makes a good lucrative career or not.

But seldom you will come across the ones who will choose a career in writing. No positive responses come in this regard. The reason for this might discourage you to look for a career in writing. Because there is a big mismatch between the earnings and reputation of the writers. Plus, it involves an uphill task in finding the right editor, getting the content edited, and then sending it for publishing. And one major drawback is writing does not mint money.
