Direct mail is an affordable and fast means to reach out to your potential customers. By using it, you can grow your business and improve your brand’s revenue without even having mail list.

EDDM postcards are an excellent marketing technique for your business. It can help in grabbing more customers within your neighborhood.

However, if you are using EDDM postcard printing, you need to make sure that it stands out. And here are a few tips that can help you print unique EDDM postcards.

1.   Highlight Your Offer

Many EDDM floods the eye of your recipient with too much copy, hiding the offer, if there is one. So, you need to make sure that the direct mail brochure or postcard you are printing, highlights the offer so that potential customers can easily notice it. Also, list multiple contact options that are impossible to miss out on.

2.   Avoid Choosing Cheesy Taglines

Gone are the days when people fell for a too-cheesy headline like promising an incredible offer. These days people are more cynical and such taglines can cost you your prospective customers. moreover, you need to steer clear of using bold italics, multiple exclamation marks, and all caps.

Don’t use anything that is elementary enough to activate your customer’s brain. Surely, you don’t want your direct mail brochure printing to look boring as it can make your recipients feel that they have wasted your time. Take measures to make a good impression on customers. Being more creative and innovative is the key to attracting your customers. The wording and graphics should trigger your customers.

3.   Use Color for Grabbing Attention

It is always better to go for colored direct marketing materials instead of black and white if you have to grab your audience’s attention. But you need to make sure that you are using color in moderation. If you use too much of it, it can be confusing for your audience. Use just enough for enhancing the message but not too much to make the material too cluttered.

Select colors on the basis of the feelings it elicits. For instance, warm colors are exciting and energizing, while bright colors are bold and loud. Make sure that you consider your audience and the product or service you are offering.

4.   Add a Discount or Coupon

Who doesn’t love a good deal! If you are offering a discount or coupon, people might be more responsive. It is better to put an expiry date on the discount or coupon. Even if it is a discount that you always offer, add an expiry date a couple of weeks after they receive the coupon.

Adding a sense of urgency encourages people to take action, instead of putting the direct mail postcard or brochures aside.

5.   Never Assume Your Recipients Know Everything

When you educate your audience, they will be more willing to buy your product or service.  The headline that you are adding can draw attention to the body since it is the most powerful selling tool in the postcard or brochure. Using attractive images in the body can make your audience seek more information.

Keep in mind, it is better to include direct details in the body since referring them to a link can be a little of a stretch. Add as much information within but do not add more than 5 sentences. This is because you don’t want your potential customers to drop the postcards before they finish reading.
