Be Aware About Autism Causes, Symptoms and Autism Treatment Therapy

Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder which is characterized by impaired social interaction, language development, understanding behaviors, verbal and nonverbal communication. Autism is developed by kids either by birth or in early two years of birth. These signs of disabilities appear gradually and also depend on child-to-child. The symptoms and conditions of autism differ widely in children hence all these symptoms are categorized combined under Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The severity also varies from normal handicap conditions to painful disabilities that further may require institutional care.

Autism is one of the three syndromes in ASD; the other two are Asperger's Syndrome (AS) and Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD). In case of OS, the children don't have problem with language but they find it difficult to socially connect with other people and read their behavior. PDD is also known as atypical autism, in this children show some of the symptoms defined in the set of autism syndrome but they do not show the other symptoms. Constant repetitive behavior such as stacking or lining up objects also comes under symptoms of autism.

The exact reasons of autism are still unknown and lack any conclusion, but autism is highly heritable. Researches and studies show that environmental and genetic conditions contribute in development of autism to a great extent. Autism is very likely to occur during pregnancy when the mother is exposed to certain chemicals and drugs or alcohol, if there is even least inheritance. Autism does not relate to family background, family status, educational levels or social boundaries. Many studies have shown that autism is four times more common in boys than girls. Autism affects the information processing inside brain by changing the way how nerve cells and their synapses communicate and organize with each other. The exact explanation how this scenario occurs is still not found.

Although there is no sure shot autism treatment therapy known, but many cases have been reported where children have recovered. Gradually autism is being accepted as a difference rather than a disorder. With constant care and physical and mental support, the characteristics of autism can be minimized to a great extent. Online therapy for developmental disabilities in autism has also been very effective to treat children with autism. However, love and support of parents and proper attention play a really important role in the journey of treating this condition.
