One of the most important things to consider before applying for a visitor visa is to know if you are from a high-risk country or not.

When applying for a Visitor Visa ETA (Electronic Transfer Authority) subclass (601) and eVisitor Visa subclass (651) to Australia you will come across

the eligibility requirement of “holding a passport from certain countries”.

What is High-Risk Country means?

The requirement above is referring to the “low and high-risk countries”.

What is this exactly?

You can still apply for a Visitor Visa if your country falls into the high-risk country category.

But you are not eligible for the Visitor Visa ETA subclass (601) and eVisitor Visa subclass (651).

The High-risk countries are the countries that are not on this list and are not eligible for those Visitor Visa streams.

If your country isn’t listed above then it means you are living/holding a passport in a high-risk country.
