Citizen Tsuyosa: Colorful watches at low prices!

For its flagship summer release, Citizen has chosen to bet on color with a new range, called Tsuyosa (force in Japanese). And the strength of these new references, in addition to their pop colors, their elegant lines and their dials (strongly inspired by that of the Rolex Oyster Perpetual for some), is their price: less than €300!

Citizen: It's time for color!

Isn't there a better time than summer to get out of tocantes with colorful dials? For two of its references, Citizen has chosen dials in more “fun” colors. So for those who don't want to go unnoticed during their vacation, you have a choice: yellow (NJ0150-81Z) or green (NJ0150-81X). But for fans of more sobriety, don't panic, Citizen has thought of everything! Two other references in more classic colors will give you a sport-chic style: the NJ0150-81L (blue dial) and the NJ0150-81E (black dial).

The dial of its Tsuyosa still retains a classic spirit. The new fake watches store from the Japanese manufacturer therefore reveal a dial with a minimalist and elegant general appearance, composed of baton indexes, doubled at 6 and 12 o'clock. Under these same doubled indexes, we observe the inscription of the Citizen brand at 12 o'clock and the mention "Automatic" at 6 o'clock. We also note the presence of a date window at 3 o'clock, accompanied by a cyclops on the sapphire crystal.

An integrated bracelet for a sporty and distinguished effect

After the dial, let's now take a closer look at the rest of what constitutes these Tsuyosa. First of all, there is a steel case of rather standard size, with 40mm in diameter and 11.7mm thick. Dimensions that will therefore suit a maximum of wrists. Citizen has chosen a small crown, which provides an additional effect of sobriety. It is placed at 4 o'clock, for more comfort on the wrist.

The bracelet, also in steel, is of the “jubilee” type and has the particularity of being integrated into the case. It has brushed parts as well as polished parts, which gives the whole a style that is both sporty and distinguished, very fashionable for this season. Nevertheless, if we associate it with summer, this watch is not necessarily synonymous with swimming, because it is only waterproof to 5 atmospheres (50m).

A watch with inspirations...

It didn't take long for this Tsuyosa to be compared with the Oyster Perpetual from Rolex. In 2020, we then discovered pop colors, which we were not used to seeing on the brand's models.

It is true that there are some similarities between the OP and the Tsuyosa: First of all the colors, but also the minimalist and elegant general appearance, composed of stick indexes (doubled at 6 and 12 o'clock) accompanied by a minute graduation that adorns the dial.

But it would be shortcuts to say that it is only plagiarism. Faced with the enthusiasm caused by the Oyster Perpetual, other brands have therefore hastened to do the same. This is the case of Omega with its Aqua Terra models, which also did not fail to make people talk, of Breitling or even of smaller brands like Doxa, Maurice Laxroix and so on. At the moment, fashion is for colored dials and Citizen is therefore quite right in my opinion to also come and ride the wave in a very competitive price range.

Citizen has integrated certain touches that give these replica watches cheap their own identity. We then note a date window at 3 o'clock that is not found on the Oyster Perpetual with the addition of a cyclops on the sapphire crystal. To continue the comparison more generally, other elements distinguish the two models, such as the bracelet, the buckle or of course the crown as well as its position.

The choice of the Citizen 8210 automatic movement

Another strong point of this release, Citizen fake has chosen to equip its new Tsuyosa with an automatic caliber. Inside this case, there is therefore no Eco-Drive technology dear to the brand (our article on an Eco-Drive model), but a Citizen 8210 movement. It is a Miyota which already equips other models from the Japanese manufacturer and which is considered a guarantee of quality. It therefore offers the reliability standards from which the brand derives its notoriety. The watch displays 21,600 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of 40 hours. In addition, the case is equipped with a transparent case back, so you can admire this caliber at your convenience.
