A Course in Miracles Zoom

Posted by seomypassion12 on July 24th, 2023

Our in-person ACIM classes are temporarily being a course in miracles replaced with online meetings using zoom. The facilitator is Rev Pamela Whitman, an ordained ACIM minister and member of the Course in Miracles Society. She teaches at Unity by the Shore, leads daily international ACIM conference calls, and speaks and plays flute at New Thought churches across the east coast. She has studied A Course in Miracles since 1989.

Principles

Join Mary Budenholzer and Elijah Craft for an evening of transformation and discussion as we read and discuss the principles of A Course in Miracles, a modern spiritual self-study system of “spiritual psychology” that teaches the way to universal love through forgiveness. ACIM has already touched the lives of millions worldwide.

Our group meets virtually through Zoom - an app that allows multiple participants to access the same meeting at the same time. This means you can participate in this class from your living room or patio - even from the comfort of your PJ's! After you register, you will receive a link to join the meeting.

Jennifer Feiereisel has studied A Course in Miracles for more than 25 years. Her classes are designed to focus on total comprehension of the Course teachings. She uses passages and clues from all three parts of the Course (the Text, Workbook Lessons, and Manual for Teachers) to help make the sometimes confusing concepts of ACIM easier to understand. She emphasizes that the Course is not a religion but a path to experience an eternal existence. She believes that everyone can benefit from the study of this Course. Whether you are a seasoned student or completely new to the teachings, you will find this class helpful in your spiritual growth.
Practices

A Course in Miracles is a self-study spiritual thought system with three volumes: the Text, the Workbook for Students and the Manual for Teachers. It teaches that the way to universal love and peace is by undoing guilt through forgiveness. It also teaches that everyone's true home is God's Love and that everything that happens is part of the loving plan of God.

The Course uses Christian terminology but is ecumenical in its teachings. It does not promote any specific religion, though it does teach that "there is no hell" only the searing experience of guilt and its release through forgiving others. It states that it is only one of many thousands of forms of the universal course and that all people will find their own way to God.

It is a very intellectual course, with sophisticated metaphysical, theological and psychological concepts integrated throughout its lessons. Most of the lessons are written in poetic blank verse, and it can be difficult for someone who does not have an intellectual bent to understand much of it. However, it can be very helpful to anyone who is willing to let go of their ego and trust in the divine.

Most ACIM groups consist of a group of people who meet to read and discuss the weekly lesson of the Course, along with doing the daily practices in the Workbook. The meetings usually begin with a brief lecture or discussion of the lesson and then move on to the practice for that week. The practice may include meditation, prayer, creative visualization or reading the lesson in its entirety.

This group is open to anyone who is interested in learning about the principles of ACIM, as well as to those with some experience who would like to share their interpretations of the material. We will be meeting on Zoom, so a computer or mobile device with the app is needed. The meetings will take place on Tuesday afternoons and will start on March 31.
Discussions

A Course in Miracles, or ACIM, is a spiritual training course that can help shift your mind from fear to love. It is studied by people of all faiths and backgrounds, who are dedicated to spiritual growth and world peace. It is a profound text that is often difficult to understand, and can seem confusing at times. This course is not a religion, but it uses religious language to describe metaphysical concepts. It is a self-taught, non-denominational curriculum that teaches forgiveness and acceptance of God's Love.

Founded in 1976 by Helen Schucman, A Course in Miracles has become an international phenomenon. Since its publication, the book has been translated into several languages and has influenced thought leaders like Oprah Winfrey, Eckhart Tolle, and Marianne Williamson. It has also gained a reputation as a modern spiritual classic and has acquired a scriptural status in the eyes of many readers.

The course is divided into three books: the Text, Workbook for Students, and Manual for Teachers. The first two contain the teachings of the Course, while the last contains questions and answers about it. Combined, these books contain over 1,000 pages of short, sometimes cryptic statements that can be hard to understand at first. It is recommended that you read these books slowly and take the time to ponder each concept before moving on to the next.

If you are unable to attend the live class, you can still participate by signing in as a guest on Skype. Click on the green "Join the Call" button when it appears, and you will be connected to the class.

You can join in the discussion and ask questions from other participants on the call, and you will be able to listen to recordings of past classes. These classes are a great way to connect with other people who share a passion for ACIM, and to gain a deeper understanding of the Course's principles. These classes will help you develop a daily practice of forgiveness, and learn to trust your inner guidance.
Questions

Whether you have never heard of A Course in Miracles before or are an experienced student, questions about ACIM will arise as you apply its teachings to your life. These questions can be about the text, the workbook, or anything else that occurs to you while reading and practicing the course.

In 2002 the Foundation began its Question and Answer Service to help students with their understanding of A Course in Miracles. Through 2008 nearly 1,400 questions were submitted to Kenneth Wapnick and the Foundation.

Some of these questions were answered by him personally, others were assigned by him to staff members or other people he selected, and all were reviewed and revised by Kenneth before they were posted online.

This book contains answers to 100 of the most common questions that new and experienced students have asked about A Course in Miracles. It is a valuable resource that will be useful to anyone who wants to deepen their understanding of the course.
