In a happy dream, your mind is free from the world because it does not GIVE the world any reality, truth or power. As you continue this process, this nightmare of separation can become what ACIM calls a happy dream.

Unlike the illusory dreams of special relationships, the happy dream is not a means to an end that you want to reach. The Holy Spirit, ever practical in His wisdom, accepts the special relationship and uses it to awaken you.

He does not destroy it nor snatch it away from you, but allows it to serve His function of waking you up. Your little willingness to let it fulfill this function is all that is needed for the miracle to happen. Then all the dreams of guilt will fade away and you will be free to rest in the happy dream. You will know that He is the Comforter, and that you are joined in love with Him.
How do we experience a happy dream?
