1. Steel pipe cleaning

Note that before the steel pipe is welded, the cleaning work must be done first. There may be various oils, paints, water, rust, etc. on the surface of the steel pipe, as well as various impurities. In order to ensure the smooth progress of welding and reduce safety problems, it is recommended to clean it up first. Cleaning up these impurities can also help the sealing of the weld joint and reduce the possibility of problems during the welding process.

2. Adjust the opening

The welding bevel should be based on the wall thickness of the steel pipe itself. If the wall thickness is relatively thick, it can be slightly larger, and if it is relatively thin, it can be appropriately smaller. It must be adjusted according to the actual situation. If you feel that the groove opening is a bit large, you can leave a smaller gap on the counter-piece. Usually the gap on the counter-piece is about 1-1.5 times the diameter of the welding rod or welding wire, depending on the condition of the steel pipe.

3. Welding treatment

It is currently recommended that the welding of steel pipes be carried out in a half-and-half manner. Don't be too impatient. What is important is meticulousness and rigor, and you must be able to weld the steel pipes in place. If the wall of the steel pipe is relatively thick, you can choose layered treatment, which can also have a more secure effect.
