PSG Willing to Listen to Offers For Neymar

Since Barcelona paid PSG a record EUR222 million transfer fee to lure Neymar away, his relationship has disintegrated significantly.

PSG are finding that Brazilian star Neymar's salary strains their own Financial Fair Play regulations, prompting them to listen to offers for him next summer.

1. Manchester United

Paris Saint-Germain have cleared the way for Manchester United to make a move for Neymar. Reportedly, they have offered to listen to offers for Neymar who has endured injury this season but remains an effective threat when fully healthy.

Sheikh Jassim is keen on signing Neymar away from Barcelona and his chances have increased significantly with PSG granting PSG permission to listen to offers for him. But any return would likely not happen: although LaLiga club needs reinforcements, coach Xavi is against such an move while it would necessitate Neymar accepting a significant pay cut - both unlikely scenarios at present.

2. Chelsea

Pochettino remains reluctant to let Neymar leave the club despite their poor relationship, fearing his presence could damage young players like Mudryk's development.

PSG are already finding his wages eroding their FFP allowance and it appears likely he will once more become the world's highest-paid player with his new five-year contract.

PSG are reported to be willing to listen to offers this summer and could drastically lower their asking price to attract Premier League clubs interested in freeing up space on their wage bill for players such as Mbappe and Dembele.

3. Liverpool

Neymar joined Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona for an unprecedented transfer fee of EUR222 Million, but could leave for other clubs before his contract ends in 2025. Paris Saint-Germain are open to accepting offers of alternative clubs in return.

His father and agent has denied claims he wants to return to Camp Nou, while Luis Enrique has expressed disinterest in building his team around Neymar at PSG due to his exorbitant wage demands that are eating up a considerable portion of its Financial Fair Play limit.

Liverpool have spoken with PSG regarding a transfer, though it appears unlikely they will sign the Brazilian this summer; negotiations may resume in winter instead.

4. Real Madrid

After failing to land Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann this summer, Barca are keen on adding Neymar. Unfortunately Leonardo and Neymar have come into conflict this season while Barcelona's financial constraints make meeting PSG's asking price difficult for them.

Real Madrid sees Neymar's signing as essential in their bid to challenge Barcelona for the title next year, so Real could consider selling Kylian Mbappe to cover costs associated with Neymar signing. But this proposal may not satisfy Real, who believe Neymar signing is absolutely necessary in their battle with them for title success.

PSG are believed to have reduced their asking price for Thomas Vermaelen to around EUR50m- EUR60m in order to free themselves from his enormous wages of more than half-a-million pounds a week.

5. Atletico Madrid

Barcelona are hopeful of re-signing Neymar but cannot afford his salary of EUR50 Million per season, which would put their financial resources beyond strain.

Paris-based club and their superstar player appear to have fallen out, as the latter are keen on building a squad consisting of young French players and believe that Messi, Mbappe and Neymar's reign is over.

Ligue 1 giants Monaco will only entertain offers for their Brazilian star this summer if they are truly interested. Otherwise, a lengthy transfer saga similar to what happened when trying to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid last summer could ensue.

6. Saudi Arabia

Following his move from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) for an eye-watering transfer fee in 2017, Neymar has endured two broken metatarsals in just over one year, leaving him sidelined and missing key parts of the season.

Paying him his exorbitant salaries has taken up an inordinate amount of PSG's FFP allowance and making it hard for the club to work around Uefa rules by keeping him.

Al Hilal has made an offer estimated to be in the region of million, which if accepted will see them close their deal by the end of this month.
