How to Crack IBPS: An All Bank Exam

Institute of Banking Personnel Section (IBPS) conducts the IBPS Bank Exam which is the all bank exam in India’s banking sector. Passing this exam is of utmost importance to the candidates.

The IBPS exam comprises many parts such as;

  1. The Common Write Exam (CWE) – this includes three subjects i.e. English (30 marks), Reasoning (35 marks) and Quantitative Aptitude (35 marks). It takes one hour to complete.
  2. General Awareness (GK) – This section of the IBPS focuses on the current affairs in of the last six months. It includes; history of Banking, Indian Economy, Awards and Honors, Fiscal-Monetary Policies, Banking Terms, Marketing and Banking terms.

  4. Quantitative Aptitude – includes data interpretation, which tests tabulation, line graphs, bar charts and pie charts. Has also other bits such as sequence and series, quadratic expressions, percentages and averages, simplifications and number systems
  5. Computer Knowledge –this should only be taken by those candidates who have computer knowledge since it has the same marks as the others despite being optional. It tests network basis, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power point, computer generations, computer shortcuts etc.

Tips on How to Crack the IBPS Exam

  • Proper Planning –this is the most basic of all, to ensure you pass this all bank exam, plan for your studies well. This starts by identifying the areas you are weak in then prepare a good study schedule.
  • Update yourself – as preparation to fare well in the IBPS exam, read magazines and newspapers regularly to pass the general awareness bit.
  • Study topic wise –to improve your cognitive ability while studying for the IBPS exam, ensure you understand every topic before proceeding to the next topic. Do the tests at the end of each topic. This gives you experience and assures you good results.
