Blades are available in different types of teeth configuration and each configuration suits a certain type of application. Besides, kerf width can also be an important thing to consider. You can find full kerf as well as thin kerf blades on the market and each has its pros and cons.

For example more teeth on the blade sound good in theory but they are terrible for ripping as it slows down the process.
