Chopard launches Mille Miglia GTS Luftgekühlt Edition watch

Jewelry and watch house Chopard presented its second watch collection, Mille Miglia GTS Luftgekühlt Edition, created in honor of its partnership with the automobile company Porsche and the annual Luftgekühlt exhibition. The fake watch features details inspired by vintage cars, and the silver dial is reminiscent of the Porsche 550 Spyder.

Luftgekühlt is a unique event founded by Patrick Long, a professional Porsche racing driver and two-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The name of the exhibition speaks about the features of the cars that can take part. Translated from German, “Luftgekühlt” means “air cooling”. The annual show brings together car enthusiasts and features a selection of exceptional Porsche models from 1948 to 1998, powered by air-cooled engines.

After a two-year break, the seventh Luftgekühlt exhibition took place on September 10 this year in the Bottleworks area in Indianapolis, the capital of Indiana, USA. The exhibition organizers carefully select the event venues to ensure that the relaxed vintage atmosphere enhances the emotions and impressions of historic Porsche vehicles.

As part of its partnership with Luftgekühlt, Chopard presented a special edition replica watch info from the Mille Miglia GTS collection. The Chopard Mille Miglia GTS Luftgekühlt Edition watch is inspired by the original 1956 Porsche 550A Spyder race car and features the style of the iconic Italian classic vintage car race, the 1000 Miglia.

The watch case with a diameter of 43 mm and a thickness of 11.4 mm is made of stainless steel. The combination of an extremely narrow bezel, highly polished side panels and wide case ridges creates a vintage muscle car feel. These bold design elements are balanced by short, sharply rounded strap lugs that ensure the watch fits comfortably on your wrist. The watch is water resistant to 100 meters.

The Mille Miglia GTS Luftgekühlt Edition is inspired by the Mille Miglia GTS Power Control and features a satin-brushed silver dial for the first time in the collection. The sunburst finish on the dial surface creates crisp, vibrant highlights. By choosing this dial color, Chopard pays tribute to the German racing silver of Porsche history.

The dial details reinforce the vintage racing car feel. The power reserve indicator, located at 9 o'clock, is reminiscent of the gasoline gauge of cars from the 1950s. And the red and white dial accents imbue the watch with the aesthetics of vintage dashboards. The date window, surrounded by the Mille Miglia race logo with a red arrow, is inspired by the numbers on the doors and bonnets of competing cars.

The Chopard Mille Miglia GTS Luftgekühlt Edition is equipped automatically with the in-house Chopard caliber 01.08-C. This movement is a COSC certified chronometer with a power reserve of up to 60 hours and a balance frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The mechanism is equipped with a function to stop the second hand, allowing for precise adjustment. The caliber details are showcased on a sapphire crystal caseback, centered with the iconic Luftgekühlt logo.

The watch comes on Chopard's signature perforated black leather strap with silver stitching on the sides and a black rubber lining. The perforations and lining are inspired by racing gloves and Dunlop tires from the 1960s.

Chopard fake released the Mille Miglia GTS Luftgekühlt Edition watch in a limited edition of 50 pieces. The watch comes in a special box with the Luftgekühlt emblem.
