You've seen it on the red carpet. You've seen your favorite celebrities wear it. Now, wouldn't you want to flaunt your figure with this stunning bandage dress? Ever since bandage dresses were introduced in the market, a lot of celebrities have been spotted attending premieres, awards, and a lot of events wearing these body hugging outfits.

After seeing Gossip Girl's Blake Lively, posh spice Victoria Beckham, and a lot more stars walk their way with a bandage dress, wouldn't you also want to wear one especially to a most awaited event of yours? I'm sure you'd be dying to wear one on your prom, on a special date, or just any special gathering you'd be attending to. The thing is, are you sure you're wearing the right bandage dress? For you not to be lost, here are a few tips that you can consider before heading out to the botique and buying your outfit.

First, let's consider the color of the dress that you're going to wear. If you are light skinned, it would be best for you to wear bandage dresses that are darker in shade. You can try black, orange, purple, or a combination or different colors. However, don't go for pale colors since these will just make you a lot more paler. On the other hand, if you are dark skinned, go for lighter shades. The reason why you should choose a color that is opposite your skin tone is because you are supposed to show your figure, not hide it.

Another thing that you should consider when choosing a dress is the way it was cut. If you are a lady blessed with the much wished for long legs, then a high neck short bandage dress would look great on you. If you are petite, wear a bandage dress that has a broad neck, strapless, or spaghetti straps. If you are wearing a strapless bandage dress, a cardigan would optimize the look.

Accessories and make up are of course never to be forgotten when it comes to donning up a dress. However, you won't need a heavy set make up for you to look gorgeous. Just the right amount of foundation, some shiny lip gloss, and faux eyelashes would do. For the accessories, you can put on your favorite necklace, bracelet, and carry a small clutch and you're good to go. Remember to never overdo on your accessories or you'll look just like a Christmas tree especially if you're wearing colored patterns.

You may think that bandage dresses are just for skinny women. For my last tip, think of this as a misconception. Anybody can wear a bandage dress, as long as you have the right color, style, make up and accessories. And of course, you have to carry the bandage dress with confidence and poise, and you will surely be a star.
