Paragard IUD Lawsuit: Mounting Allegations of Device Breakage and Serious Complications

The Paragard IUD, a non-hormonal copper intrauterine device (IUD) marketed as a very effective long-term contraception option, is facing an increasing wave of lawsuits alleging that the device is vulnerable to breaking during removal, ultimately causing serious complications for women.
Over 2,200 lawsuits have been filed against Teva Pharmaceuticals, the manufacturer of Paragard, alleging that the device's design flaw causes it to fracture throughout the removal process, leaving fragments of the IUD embedded in the uterus or other pelvic organs.
