Hublot Classic Fusion Chronograph Shepard Fairey watch – a symbol of the harmony of the Universe

The new watch from the Swiss company Hublot with a symbolic mandala pattern is another chapter in the successful concept of the Hublot Loves Art brand. Inspired by the symbol of harmony, life cycles and unity of several ancient cultures, the mandala, the Classic Fusion Chronograph Shepard Fairey watch embodies a symbiosis of functionality, architecture and design.

As part of Hublot’s philosophy of loving art, the brand collaborated with artist Takashi Murakami and sculptor Richard Orlinsky. The Classic Fusion Chronograph Shepard Fairey watch is the second collaboration between Hublot and Shepard Fairey. In the new joint creation, Fairy embodied a mandala - an ornamental symbol that signifies the world order of the Universe. Translated from Sanskrit, “mandala” means “circle”.

In Hublot watches, the mandala pattern is brushed and engraved on titanium, which makes up the bezel and 45mm watch case. The mandala pattern extends from the bezel to the dial. In the center of the dial, where the hands are attached, is the Fairy “Star Gear” logo. The geometric, symbolic mandala pattern on the dial is carved so finely and carefully that it reveals the chronograph mechanism.

The Classic Fusion Chronograph Shepard Fairey watch is equipped with the automatic chronograph caliber HUB1155, developed by Hublot. Additional counters are located at “3” and “9” o’clock, and at “6” o’clock there is a date aperture. The power reserve of the mechanism is 42 hours.
