Charity and healthcare are not limited only to rural areas. Dealing with urban poverty is a growing concern today. Economic depression, labor strikes or such other mishaps lead to large scale unemployment among the urban population. Consequently, this section of the population is left without a source of income. When afflicted by physical disability, disease, sickness, old age – it is then that charitable organizations in India are needed to come to their rescue with a helping hand.

Sitaram Jindal Foundation has set up a couple of charitable hospitals in Bangalore.  The SJF trust in Bangalore offers not only healthcare but also incorporates schemes for the betterment of those who cannot afford health check-ups. One such charitable hospital in Bangalore is Manav Charitable Hospital. It is a full-fledged allopathic hospital set up to meet the medical needs of  BPL patients around the vicinity of Jindal Nagar. The hospital can be regarded as one of the most effective health care center in Bangalore. It has the latest medical equipments together with a team of eminent doctors to its credit. Besides medical facilities – consultation, operations, dispensing of medicines, etc. are all managed by the hospital under the SJF trust in Bangalore.

This hospital is in true spirit one of the best charity organization in Bangalore that caters to the medical needs of the poorest sections of the society.  The hospital has 21 in-house well equipped specialty departments such as Eye, ENT, Dental, Orthopedics, Gynecology, Skin, etc.  In the field of family planning, the hospital renders free service in areas of creating awareness of family planning methods, child immunization, and health education.

India still is a country where there is constrained in resources in many parts of the country. This is a socio – political issue which is extremely complex, and solution cannot be overnight.  This scenario opens up a huge scope for charitable organizations in India. It is only on visits by medical teams to far stretched areas of cities that the health concerns of the poor come to light.  With charity organizations in Bangalore and other states in India, quality healthcare and service can be brought to the doors of those sections of the society for whom achieving timely medical help or treatment was merely a dream. Thankfully with coming up of more hospitals run by charitable trusts, it is now possible for the poor to save lives of their family members which were otherwise lost under the burden of heavy costs of medical treatment.
