Assembly

  •      Crochet a total of 15 granny squares.
  •      You can block the squares to give them defined edges and smooth out the stitches.
  •      Then, assemble the 15 granny squares together using the slip stitch seaming technique (worked across 3 stitches).

Adding Top Edging and Strap

  •      Pick up the stitches along the top edge of the bag to form the top edging and strap.
  •      Crochet half double crochets separated by chain 1's to create an eyelet detail.
  •      Adjust the strap length based on your preference for how the bag hangs, whether as a shoulder bag or cross-body.

Finishing Touches

  •      Crochet a round of single crochet stitches along one side of the top edging and strap.
  •      Then, work a round of slip stitches to strengthen and widen the strap.
  •      Repeat this process along the other side of the top edging and strap.
  •      Half Double Crochet decreases are worked at the bottom of the V for each round to ensure the stitches do not bunch up or puff out at this spot.

Optional Customizations

You can purchase a small interior bag organizer to add compartments and a zipper closure to the shoulder bag. Additionally, you can add a button closure if desired.

Reversible Design

This reversible bag offers a unique look with raised edges that help define each granny square. You can wear the bag both ways, depending on your preference.
