KURONO TOKYO UNVEILS THE 34MM ‘CALLIGRA’ SPECIAL PROJECT

This is also what drives the whole phenomenon launched by Japanese master watchmaker Hajime Asaoka. So let's shed some light on this new product called 34mm 'Calligra' Special Project released today.

The ‘Calligra’ project takes its name from calligraphy, highlighting the introduction of Breguet-style indexes for the first time in the Japanese brand’s repertoire. Designed and hand-drawn by Hajime Asaoka himself, these indexes celebrate craftsmanship and elegance. Inspired by his years of artistic study, Asaoka redesigned these indexes using traditional calligraphy techniques, bringing them to life on the replica watch uk face in a way that balances both aesthetics and readability.

The decision to adopt Breguet numerals comes from his desire to see the numbers fit harmoniously in a circle on the dial, a feature that traditional Arabic numerals, designed to be read online, could not offer. With its dimensions so contained on the other hand, notably a diameter of 34mm, all the models are rather non-gendered.

Although more accessible than the high-end creations of Asaoka (whose main business remains independent fine watchmaking), the 'Calligra' makes no compromise on quality, offering an equally exceptional finish and a certainly unique experience when worn.
