National Talent Search ExaminationPosted by motachashma on August 27th, 2016 National Talent Search Examination is a nation-wide scholarship curriculum in India. It is treated as the most renowned and the most intricate exam at the level of high school in our country. The aim of National Talent Search exam is to analyze and diagnose students with high mental ability and scholastic talent and helping them for further higher studies by rewarding scholarship at various stages. The National Talent Search Examination isorganized for students of Class 10 only. The dates of National Talent Search Examination 2016-17 for both phase-1 and phase-2 examinations are declared by National Council of Educational Research and Training. For Phase-1: Examination in Meghalaya, Andaman and Nicobar Island, Mizoram and Nagaland is going to take place on November 5th 2016. Examination in West Bengal and Bihar is going to take place on November 13th 2016. Examination in All other States and Union Territories is going to take place on November 6th 2016. For Phase-2: Examination in All States and Union Territories is going to take place on May 14th 2017. Application Process The application form for National Talent Search Examis available at State/UT Intermediary officer. The application form after completion as to get attested by the Principal of the school will be deposited at the specified address in the form.The exam fee for National Talent Search Examination Phase-I exam will be announced by State/UT. For National Talent Search Examination Stage-II exam, no fee is charged by National Council of Educational Research and Training. National Talent Search Exam Phase-I Framework- It contains two parts- • Mental Ability Test National Talent Search Exam Phase-II Framework- • I Paper : MAT Maximum Marks- 50 Time duration- 45 Min • II : Language Test Maximum Marks- 50 Time Duration-45 Min • III Paper-SAT Maximum Marks-100 Time Duration-90 Min On the basis of merit list of National Talent Search Exam (NTSE), A specific no. of scholarships i.e.1000 scholarships are given away every year. Out of which 15% are kept for students belonging to the category of SC, 7.5% for students belonging to the category of ST and 3% for Physically Challenged students. Scholarship amounts are: • Rs.1250 per month for students of class 11th and 12th. New Regulations for National Talent Search Examination Scholarship in this session are- • Candidates have to score an average of 60% marks for availing the scholarship. All students of Class 10th studying in sanctioned schools are qualified to show up for the Phase - 1 exam, which is organized by the State and Union Territory's, in which the respective schools are positioned.
