What Everyone Ought to Know About Poop

Within ten minutes we got the call from E.R. saying they were Wake Up Lean  bringing a 19 year old female, who was brought to the E.R. by her roommate; she had an abortion earlier in the day and when she came back to the dorm, she started bleeding a lot. We called anesthesia, told them what we were told. We ran to the room we always set up for emergencies. While we were setting up the room, Dr. X and the E.R. personnel came into the room with the patient on the stretcher. The E.R. personnel were giving all of us report at the same time we placed her on the operating table; "Jane Doe, 19 year old post abortion, probable tear in the uterus; receiving type specific blood and on her second unit." Dr. X said there's no time to scrub, just double glove. We were all in fast action opening up the instrument trays, attaching the top of the gowns, counting the lap sponges. There wasn't time to count the instruments. Anesthesia was equally busy getting their meds ready. Her blood pressure was low and she was bleeding profusely.

An IV had been started. When patients are http://wakeupleanprogramreview.com/  bleeding and there isn't time to type and cross match the blood, type specific is always O negative. Dr. X said to pour betadine over her abdomen; there wasn't time to scrub. Because of her low blood pressure, anesthesia cranked the operating bed head down a few degrees. Anesthesia intubation started at the same time as surgery. After intubation, the bed was tilted head down some more to keep her blood pressure up. Dr. X was working furiously trying to stop the bleeding; requesting more clamps and more suctioning. More units of blood were given, and more units. We had gotten all of the O negative blood from the hospital blood bank. Surgeon and anesthesia were talking constantly to each other. There was just the noise of the suction, and the doctors talking; "the blood pressure is low;" "can't get the bleeding stopped, the uterus is torn through," "more blood." The scrub techs had worked with Dr. X many times and knew what he wanted; there was an occasional spoken request. It crossed my mind briefly that all of us in that operating room either did or could have a 19 year old child. We were all in mental anguish for this young girl.
