Lipid particulate system-based drug deliveryPosted by Catalina Garcia on July 12th, 2024 The term "particulate system," which is another name for the colloidal carrier system, refers to a class of pharmaceutical carriers used in targeted drug delivery. These carriers can take many different forms, including lipid particles, polymeric micelles, micro- and nanoparticles, micro-and nanospheres, and some vesicular systems. One of the innovative drug delivery methods is the lipid particulate system, which uses lipid particles with a common drug structure consisting of a lipid shell and core. A class of novel drug delivery vehicles known as lipid particulate systems is made up of various delivery vehicles, including lipospheres, lipid nanoparticles, and other nanostructured lipid carriers like lipid drug conjugates. Drug delivery systems with lipid particles have been created to provide targeted and regulated release of medications with varying molecular weights. In particular, systems with lipid particles that are micron- and nanometer-sized have been shown to increase the stability and efficacy of medications.
