The world is changing at a fast pace and you are bound to be left behind if you do not catch up. However, people are losing sight of things that really matter to them. There are new inventions almost every other day and people accept them with open arms. Not many wait to ponder about the effect of their choices on the environment and the world they are leaving behind for their children.

For instance, electric clothes dryers have almost entirely replaced conventional clotheslines. This new electric appliance appears to have made our lives easier. However, in the process, it also adds large amounts of CO2 to the environment in addition to bringing an instant spike in utility bills.

Sustainable development is the need of the hour and people need to tweak their lifestyles to save the planet from further damage. Small actions count, and one of the things that can be done to lead eco-friendly lives is start using outdoor clothesline dryers.

Outdoor clothesline dryers come in different styles and models. You can choose one based upon your needs. If you have a large backyard, you can get clotheslines installed in one corner to air-dry your laundry. If you have a small backyard or porch, you can get an outdoor clothesline umbrella instead. These are compact in shape and size, and can handle multiple large loads of your laundry.

Air-drying clothes outdoors is a great way to make your clothes smell fresh. Sunlight also acts as a great anti-bacterial and bleaching agent for clothes. Therefore, it is a much more economical, effective, and even healthy way to dry clothes. You can also dry your clothes in the shade by installing the clothesline rack or umbrella in a shaded area or even indoors.

Many clothes dryer umbrellas, stands, and racks come with multiple bases that can be cemented to the ground. You can have a few of them outdoors and indoors, and then move your dryer according to your needs. If it is sunny outside, take the clothes dryer umbrella outside and mount it on the cemented base outdoors. When it is cloudy or raining, you can simply dismount it from the base outdoors and bring it inside.

Considerable reduction in electricity bills is an obvious advantage of air drying because electric clothes dryers are one of the biggest consumers of electricity in most households. Also, the clothes get crumpled easily in electric clothes dryers and need to be ironed before use. However, apart from fabrics like cotton, etc. garments made from other fabrics may not need to be ironed when air-dried.

Another compelling reason to start using a clothesline or clothes dryer umbrella is that it gives you a chance to spend some time outdoors in the sun. You will end up feeling fulfilled after finishing the laundry and also refreshed due in the fresh air.
