Travelling with bondage gear: what to know?

It’s very common for lovebirds to take their bondage gear with them on a getaway trip. However, there are several rules worth noting about sex toys, such as dildo while at the airport. Not all bondage accessories are banned from inclusion in a checked baggage.

Quite a number of sex toys are prohibited as far as carry them outside is concerned. It’s true that using a gas mask is a great fun but it can land a traveler into great trouble. This bondage gear will not only be confiscated at security checkpoints, but one is more likely to be detained and questioned should it be found.  This is because gas masks are associated with a suspected attack using gaseous chemicals or concealing one’s identity during a criminal event.

Next on the travel list of a bondage enthusiast are some items, such as bolt cutters and drills. These are banned but if one must carry them, then they must be wrapped in a secure package ad carried only in checked bags. Together with these simple items are ropes. The rationale behind this is that one could try detaining the personnel and take over a plane, strangling someone or try to lasso flight marshal.

Bondage gear, such as cuffs or anything visibly identified, like sleep sack or a hood should be checked as well to prevent confiscation. It is very unlikely that the security personnel will be able to determine that a breath play gear is going to be used on a victim once the travelers get to their destination. Therefore, as long as the bondage accessories are not distinguishable as threatening or incapacitating items, then they okay to be carried on.

Different sex toys, such as a dildo or a vibrator area great accompaniment but there are no definitive traveling rules regarding them. Restrictions may vary from an airport to another. Some airlines may give it a blind eye, while others may consider it a lethal weapon and ask traveler to surrender it. But it should be smaller and fit in a checked bag otherwise it could be confiscated as well.

Mini vibrators are ideal to carry on during a vacation since they are light and discreet. Should a customs personnel take it out from a bag, it will be clearly seen what it is and cannot attract attention from other passengers. Massage vibrators can spare any enthusiasts embarrassments since they can be literally considered as relaxation aid. They are ideal for working out on tense zones such as clitoris, hence no one can note the difference.

Lubes are very ideal to be carried outside. But airports have regulations concerning liquids onboard. Liquids are required to be in containers not exceeding 100ml. if a 100ml amount of sex lube is contained in a 250ml bottle, it will be confiscated. It’s good to ensure that both the container and the lube are below 100ml and there won’t be problems. It’s worth noting that all the liquids must be contained in a re-sealable bag that is approximately 20 cm by 20cm. only 10 bottles or containers of liquid are allowed. Anything excess will be confiscated.

Generally, any expensive gear and sex toys should remain at home. If they are confiscated, crushed or get lost, one will be losing more than just their sex drive.

Most airlines have varying guidelines concerning different sex toys, such as a dildo or a vibrator. However, if bondage gear is concealed well in a checked bag, there won’t be any trouble with the customs officer.
