Zip lining is a fascinating experience and a great past time while on a vacation with friends and family. Zip lining is becoming trendier and people are exploring different locations, like zipline in Bay Area which provides a lot of spots for suspending zip lines. Many companies also organize zip line tours and backyard activities for people.

Zip lining is an adventure activity where the zip liner swings from one end (higher in elevation) to another end (lower in elevation) of a long rope at a good speed. While setting up a zipline in bay area or any other location, the zip line tour organizers take utmost safety precautions to ensure that there is no window left for any accident to occur. However, an accident can also occur due to negligence of the zip liner or any other unpredictable reason.

Due to this reason, adhering to proper safety precautions becomes a must whenever a person goes for a zip lining adventure. Here are certain basic safety measures for the zip liners to make their adventure a pleasant one!

Check the age and health restrictions before heading to the zipline

Every zip line adventure tour organizer imposes certain restrictions when it comes to age and health conditions. Usually, the zip liner needs to be at least 8 years of age and weigh between 50 lbs to 270 lbs. People with serious health disorders like heart disease, blood pressure, back problems etc. need to consult their physician before they can go on a zip lining adventure tour.

Dress appropriately

A zip liner needs to dress in full pants as the safety harness straps are tied to the legs. Skirts, shorts, etc. that do not cover the legs are not allowed as the harness straps can irritate the skin. Further, the shoes should be laced ones or close-toed and hair should be properly tied.

Take heed to the zip line guide’s advice

The guide explains the entire zip line adventure to the zip liner at the start. So it is very important to listen to his advice and also take heed to it.

Relax and don’t panic!

Everyone goes through the phase of fear where he’s confused whether to go for it or not. When the guide explains the entire thing, talks about the safety precautions and other things, people tend to get a bit tense, but that’s okay. Just listen to the guide carefully, take time to relax and then go for it.

When a zip liner follows proper safety measures and takes heed to the guide’s advice, only the fun follows. To have an enjoyable zip lining adventure stay safe, relaxed and have fun!
