New Oliver People?s To NYC

Posted by kamal on September 26th, 2016

Oliver Peoples has opened its third New York City boutique at 575 Madison Avenue. The boutique design is a blend of the typical Oliver Peoples lifestyle and elements of New York City architecture, and sits in harmony with the surrounding area, considered the epicenter of finance and frequented by jet-setting tourists, and high-end shoppers. To execute the vision, Oliver Peoples appointed Marmol Radziner who also designed the company’s San Francisco boutique. The team designed a space inspired by a sophisticated boardroom.  A glass storefront with dark anodized bronze trim opens onto a sleek and stately room. At the center, the fulcrum of the store is a custom walnut display table paired with black chairs. Walnut wall panels are adorned with shelves and drawers that house and display the brand's luxury eyewear models.

The combination of warm materials, soft colors, smooth surfaces and sharp silhouettes, capture the spirit of the skyscrapers built in New York City in the middle of the 1950s, such as nearby Seagram and Lever House that create the perfect backdrop to the boutique.  Inspired by this special location and by ever-increasing demand, the store will focus on the brand’s exclusive bespoke program that offers customers the opportunity to customize their own frames. In particular for three icon models - the Ari, Sheldrake and O’Malley - customers can select even the most detailed finishes. Seated around a large table, the customer enters the Oliver Peoples' world and experiences the quality and attention to detail dedicated to every single detail and creates a unique model. As well as the main collection there will also be a selection of vintage models that are particularly favored by business and high-end customers. As in the other boutiques, an on-site optician and eyewear specialists will provide the ultimate level of customer service.
